I'm not much of a blogger. It's boring and I have a tendency to abandon blogs and sites for a while. I prefer to just post pictures of my adventures and call it a day. Minimal effort for me, if you ask me. However, I freely share my recommendations for places when I know that somebody is traveling to where I have been to.
Anyways, back when I lived in NYC, I went to a Nomadic Matt meet up, and I was incredibly shy and unsure what to do, but I decided to be brave and approach Matt myself. I told him to go see the northern lights in Iceland (I just got back from Iceland that time) and it was pretty cool meeting a famous travel blogger whose site have helped me with ideas for my trips. It may have been his first time meeting a deaf reader in person, but we managed to communicate ok with my phone.
Fast forward some months later, I saw that he was seeking posts of travelers and I proposed myself because not only am I deaf, but I have a super rare syndrome that limits the ability to eat. Over the months, he sent me questions and I answered them, then he asked for photos of me on my trip. It's not easy to find pictures of myself on my trip since I'm a solo traveler and I prefer to be behind the camera myself.
Anyways, just recently after a few months, and my Ukraine/Armenia trip, my interview with him got posted on his site and I excitedly shared it with everybody I know that I like.
